It manages money for institutions and individuals through its iShares exchange-traded funds, index and active strategies, and a private markets platform that grew with the acquisitions of Global Infrastructure Partners, Preqin and HPS Investment Partners, the last of which closed on July 1, 2025. It also sells technology: Aladdin, its investment and risk management platform, is licensed to other asset owners and managers. The 2025 annual report lists total revenue of 24.2 billion dollars and 14.0 trillion dollars of assets under management at December 31, 2025, with approximately 24,900 employees in more than 30 countries. Assets reached 15.3 trillion dollars at June 30, 2026, after record first half net inflows of 321 billion dollars.
