Frequently asked questions

What is the li_at cookie and why does Derrick need it?

The li_at cookie is your LinkedIn session token. Derrick uses it to access LinkedIn and Sales Navigator data on your behalf so it can enrich profiles and companies directly in your Google Sheet. Without it, LinkedIn-based features cannot run.

Where do I find the li_at value in my browser?

Open LinkedIn Sales Navigator, right-click and choose Inspect. In Chrome and Edge go to the Application panel, in Firefox go to the Storage panel, then open Cookies and select linkedin.com. Find the li_at row and copy its value.

Does this work on Chrome, Firefox, and Edge?

Yes. The setup is the same one-minute process on all three browsers. The only difference is the panel name: Chrome and Edge call it Application, while Firefox calls it Storage. After that you copy the li_at value and paste it the same way.

Where do I paste the li_at value once I have copied it?

Open Derrick, go to Settings, and paste the li_at value into the field provided. Once saved, you are done and LinkedIn enrichment is ready to use.

Do I need a Sales Navigator subscription to use the cookie?

The steps in this guide pull the cookie from a LinkedIn Sales Navigator session, but the li_at cookie itself comes from your LinkedIn account. You copy whichever linkedin.com session you are logged into and paste that value into Derrick.
