Step by step

How to use this feature

Get started in 3 simple steps.

Pick a stack or a site type

Choose one or more technologies (Shopify, Stripe, HubSpot...), a site type (E-commerce, SaaS, Media, Other), or both. One of the two is enough: every SaaS in France works with no technology at all. Country and size only narrow the list.

Derrick checks each site

It reads each site's homepage live and scores it on its stack and its content, so a site marked SaaS is one whose homepage confirms it, not a guess.

Get a company list

Domain, site type, confidence score, main country and detected technologies land in a new sheet, Companies by tech stack, one company per row.

Part 4 / 5

When to reach for it

Find Companies by Tech Stack use cases

Turn a technology, a site type, or both into a list of companies. Pick one or more technologies (Shopify, Stripe, HubSpot...), a site type (E-commerce, SaaS, Media, Other), or both: one of the two is enough. A country and a size filter only narrow the list. Derrick returns the matching websites, one company per row in a new sheet: domain, site type, confidence score, main country and detected technologies. Each homepage is read live, so the site type is confirmed, not guessed. 1 credit per company returned, on paid plans.

  • E-commerce prospecting

list the Shopify stores in France and start the conversation.

  • SaaS targeting

find SaaS companies that bill with Stripe, with the SaaS type confirmed on each homepage.

  • Agency pipeline

spot WordPress media sites that could use a redesign or a migration.

  • Market mapping

every SaaS in a country, no stack needed, from the site type alone.

"Working pretty nifty compared to Snov.Io. Price wise it does give a fair shake, and IMO better interface since it's google sheets."

"Derrick is a very simple and user-friendly app to enrich your contacts database. Best thing: you can test it for free. And then the price is so low, it's a no brainer."

Selling to the companies that run a given tool is one of the sharpest ways to build an account list: an agency that builds Shopify themes wants Shopify stores, a billing add-on wants companies on Stripe, a HubSpot partner wants HubSpot users. The stack shows on each website, but finding every site that runs it, one by one, does not scale.

Derrick starts from the technology or the kind of site instead of the website. Pick one or more technologies, a site type (E-commerce, SaaS, Media, Other), or both: one is enough, so every SaaS in France works with no stack. A country and a size filter only narrow the list. Ask for 25 to 20,000 results. Derrick reads each homepage live and scores the site type, so SaaS means the homepage confirms it. In our test, a Stripe + SaaS search in Reliable mode returned 50 SaaS out of 50, none scored below 0.90; Broad mode brings more sites with a few mistakes. It runs in the Derrick web app, in Google Sheets, in Claude through the MCP server and through the API, on paid plans, at 1 credit per company returned. See the Derrick pricing grid.

Is Find Companies by Tech Stack available on the free plan?

+

No, it runs on paid plans only. Paid plans start at €20/month for 10,000 credits, and each company returned costs 1 credit.

How does Derrick know a site is SaaS or e-commerce?

+

Derrick reads each site's homepage live and scores it on its stack and its content. The score lands in the type_score column, from 0 to 1. Reliable mode keeps only sure matches (a score of 0.8 or more); in our test, a Stripe + SaaS search in Reliable mode returned 50 SaaS out of 50, none below 0.90. Broad mode returns more sites, with a few mistakes.

Do I have to pick a technology?

+

No. You need at least one technology or a site type, not both. Pick SaaS and France with no technology and you get every SaaS in France that Derrick finds. The country and the size filter only narrow the list.

How many companies can I get from one search?

+

From 25 up to 20,000. Big lists arrive in several chained runs, automatically, in the same Companies by tech stack sheet.

What does the size filter do?

+

It leaves out the biggest sites on the web: the 1,000, 10,000, 100,000 or 1,000,000 biggest. Use it to reach smaller companies, or keep Any size to get everything.

Where can I use Find Companies by Tech Stack?

+

Find Companies by Tech Stack runs in the Derrick web app, in Google Sheets, in Claude or any MCP client through the Derrick MCP server (the derrick_find_companies_by_tech_stack tool), and through the REST API (the find_companies_by_tech_stack action). One API call returns up to 500 companies with a site type, or 5,000 without; pass offset 0 first, then the next_offset returned, to page through the rest.
