Who is the Chief Strategy Officer of Cisco?

Ammar Maraqa is senior vice president and chief strategy officer of Cisco, owning corporate strategy, strategic alliances, mergers and acquisitions, venture investments, the incubation of emerging technologies, market access, corporate planning and business cadence. He came to Cisco through the 28 billion dollar acquisition of Splunk, where he had spent ten years as senior vice president and chief strategy officer and helped grow annual recurring revenue from 300 million to 5 billion dollars while the company moved to cloud delivered software. This is his second tenure at Cisco: he previously spent ten years there as vice president of corporate development and strategy, running the corporate strategy team and acquisition integration. He started his career as a senior associate at Bain and Company and spent five years at Dell in product, marketing and operational leadership.
