Who is the General Counsel of Dell Technologies?

Rich Rothberg is general counsel and secretary of Dell Technologies, a role he has held since November 2013. He oversees the global legal department and manages government affairs, compliance and ethics, and he is also responsible for global security. He joined Dell in 1999 and has held critical leadership roles throughout the legal department, serving as vice president of legal for the Europe, Middle East and Africa region, moving to Singapore in 2008 as vice president of legal for Asia Pacific and Japan, then returning to the United States in 2010 as vice president of legal for North America and Latin America, where he was lead counsel for sales and operations in the Americas and for the enterprise solutions, software and end user computing business units and led the worldwide government affairs organisation. Before Dell he spent nearly eight years at Caterpillar Inc. in senior legal roles in Nashville and Geneva, and he was an attorney for IBM Credit Corporation and at the law firm Rogers and Wells.
